Antelope Valley International Heritage Picnic
Ms. International Heritage Pageant ran for a year back in 2006. We no longer offer this pageant.
Purpose of the Pageant
To encourage wider involvement of residents of Antelope Valley who are not officers or members of the Committee in promoting the Annual International Heritage Festival. To get support in soliciting ad sponsors in the program brochure to finance the expenses of the Event.
Who can be a candidate?
Any female age 18 and over who would be willing to represent their culture in the Festival, i.e. Ms. China, Ms. India, Ms. America, Ms. Somalia, etc. Candidates preferably to be Antelope Valley residents. Candidates must be willing to help solicit sponsors for the program brochure, a minimum of 3-full page ads or combination of ad sizes amounting to $300.00. Candidates must be willing to participate in the Multi-Cultural Entertainment, and possibly showcase a talent showcasing her culture, such as: cultural dance, song, playing musical instrument, etc.
What benefits to the candidate?
Act as Ambassadress of Goodwill in promoting their cultural heritage in the Antelope Valley. Candidates would be included in the AV Fair Parade and press releases. Pictures and bio-data would be included in the program brochure. Candidates would receive plaques of appreciation/recognition The candidate who solicits and submits the most ads, on top of the minimum 3 full-page ads, would be declared as Ms. International Heritage and would receive a gift basket or gift certificate. All candidates would be guests of honor during a dinner-dance event (either before or after the festival).
